During my three, night stay at this cozy lodge, I enjoyed its superb location on the lakeside, surrounded by spectacular views. the room was spotless and warm with double, paned windows, which kept the cold away. the food was top, notch and the hot shower was a blessing, especially after climbing Gokyo Ri. the friendly host made me feel comfortable, and the dining room was a perfect place to start and end the day.

Charging outlets were not available in the rooms, and hot showers were not in, room, but available for a fee in a shared facility.

Despite a few setbacks, our Christmas stay in the lodge was not entirely bad. We liked the fact that the rooms were well-insulated, and despite the cold air outside, the temperature inside was bearable. Also, the soap provided in the sink was a nice touch, it was convenient for washing our hands and freshening up. The location of the lodge was also helpful, it sat in a scenic spot with stunning views of the mountains. And oh, the hot shower was enjoyable.

Overall, we did not enjoy our stay much. The lodge did not provide adequate facilities for charging our electronics; we had to walk for more than an hour to get them recharged. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find out that there was no hot water for showering in our rooms. We had to line up and wait our turn in the communal bathrooms, which was frustrating. Finally, the food was not to our liking – it lacked flavor and was cold on arrival.

Flushable toilet, sinks with soap, double window construction, excellent food, friendly host.
